5 Items Worth the Investment.

Have you got a little bit of extra money, and you’re wondering how best to spend it? Having savings in the bank is essential for peace of mind and those unexpected emergencies, but it is important to reward yourself for your hard work every once in a while! However, it can be difficult deciding just what is worth the investment of your hard earned cash. Here is a list of 5 things well worth considering:

1. A decent car.
For pure, practical reasons this is your means of transportation. If you don’t already have a car – maybe you don’t even have your license – then this is great motivation to learn to drive, as well as a way for you to become more independent and self-sufficient.

Living in the city centre or using public transport is great, but there are situations where your own car is necessary and waiting for a taxi just isn’t going to cut it.

If you do decide to take the plunge, please research widely and make sure the one you buy is in good form. It would be worth looking into cash loans to help you pay the extra cost now, because if you buy something second rate you will certainly be paying the price for it in 6 months time.

2. A smartphone.
It’s time to upgrade that old mobile phone of yours. Whether you choose an iphone, an android phone – it doesn’t really matter what brand – you will soon wonder how you ever lived without it.

They will make your life a lot easier. When you are lost and trying to find the right turn-off on the motorway, having Internet access to a map and directions will save you time and headaches. When there’s a picture perfect moment but you haven’t got your camera: you can use your phone.

You can use it as your diary; you can use it to keep updated with the latest news; as your portable music player; to check your bank balance; and for those times when you are waiting anxiously for an important email. Oh, and you can use it as a phone too.

3. Travel.
This isn’t a “thing” so much as it is an experience, and it is worth serious investment for two reasons:

- You can widen your horizons, discover what new and different opportunities the world has to offer, discover new passions and meet new people.

- You will appreciate how important your friends and family back home are to you and realise just how good you have it.

Take a substantial amount of time – at least a couple of months – off work if you can, and challenge yourself to explore. You will learn valuable life lessons that go far and beyond simply watching the discovery channel or reading a travel journal.

If you can’t afford to take so much time off, depending on how far it is you are traveling, perhaps you should look into fast loans to help you make the most of your time abroad: you never know when you will get another opportunity.

4. Short Courses/ Evening Classes.
Is there a skill you’ve always wanted to learn, a subject that fascinates you or an instrument you want to be able to play? There are night classes or weekend classes available on almost anything.

Not only are they a great way to meet other people who share your interests, but it can become the highlight of your week and lead to new opportunities. You never know, you might really have what it takes to become a professional chef, pilot, or designer.

5. Quality food and exercise.
If purchasing something physical isn’t really your style, then why not use that extra money to improve your health and wellbeing?

Invest in some personal training sessions at your nearest gym to help get you in shape and feeling good about your body. Purchase quality foods that will not only have you feeling excited about cooking again, but also feeling and looking healthier as a result. And your friends and family will be grateful for the delicious dinners!
