Brad T. Vineyard, Managing Director, CEO, PartnerAstra Wealth Management Group helps clients address both through continued guidance that goes beyond investment decisions.
The independent boutique firm tailors services for clients at different stages of their financial lives. It combines wealth management with services that help families organize financial affairs, manage major life transitions and prepare for the transfer of wealth between generations. Creating a plan is only the beginning. Advisors help families put decisions into practice and keep their financial affairs organized as circumstances evolve.
Astra’s value proposition stems from its founders’ decision to break away from the ‘big box stores,’ where institutional restrictions limited the services they could offer clients.
“Our aim is to provide services that simplify and manage our clients’ financial lives,” says Brad T. Vineyard, managing director, CEO and partner.
The firm offers services in key areas—a subscription-based financial advice service for younger professionals, family office services, a multifamily office serving ultra-high-net-worth families and traditional wealth management.
For young professionals, its subscription-based application offers affordable advice on practical financial decisions, from choosing insurance and understanding employer benefits to deciding whether to lease or buy a car or purchase a home. The service gives them a trusted source of guidance as they build their financial lives, without requiring them to transfer investment assets or relinquish control of their money.
The family office services help families stay united as wealth passes between generations. It encourages younger family members to understand the responsibilities associated with wealth and become involved in family affairs, even when they are not directly responsible for investment decisions. It also act as trustee and handle bill payments, simplifying the administration of family finances. Tax planning, liquidity and philanthropy form part of the broader family office service offering.

Our aim is to provide services that simplify and manage our clients’ financial lives.
For ultra-high-net-worth families, particularly those with $100 million or more, the multifamily office brings together specialists such as CPAs, bookkeepers, accountants and estate planners to help manage family affairs. It also helps families organize the technology supporting their financial activities, with attention to communication and security. Clients gain access to specialized expertise without requiring them to establish and maintain a full family office.
Astra’s approach to guiding families through difficult transitions is reflected in one of its ongoing engagement. A family approached Astra in December 2024 and about seven months later, the patriarch fell ill and passed away shortly thereafter. Since then, Astra has worked with the family’s attorneys, advisors and CPAs to organize trusts, coordinate asset disposition and manage investments for family members unfamiliar with the process. Keeping the family together remains a priority. The work is ongoing and has been emotionally rewarding for both Astra and the family.
Tax efficiency is another area where Astra can help, but its primary focus is managing transitions, whether through a business sale or the transfer of wealth to the next generation.
Client Interests Come First
Advisors have the freedom to select investments based on clients' interests, with firm oversight but no requirement to favor particular options. Astra’s collaborative culture has attracted six advisors in the past year without active recruitment. Advisors share expertise and join colleagues’ client meetings without additional compensation, giving clients access to a broader pool of knowledge.
Astra plans to use AI to work more efficiently and provide clients with quicker, more thoughtful responses. Its subscription-based digital service and growing trust business provide further avenues for development. Recognized as Top Wealth Management Solutions 2026, Astra continues to make wealth management more personal, practical and collaborative.
